It takes seeing hundreds of millions of dollars gone, spent, destroyed, laying waste in front of you to really sink in that an area, or an industry is dead. I had the opportunity to talk with one logger who explained that this entire mountain area would have to be culled early...and replanted...and the trucks, thank God they were insured."
